In this program a person how is Canadian citizen or a permanent resident can sponsor their partner or family to come and live with them permanently.

Who can sponsor their family or patner?

A Canadian citizen or permanent resident can sponsor their family or common-law partner if the:-

• Are at least 18 years old
• Living in Canada, if you are living outside of Canada you need to show that you will return to Canada once your spouse or partner become permanent resident
• You are able and wiling to provide basic financial need of your spouse for the next 3 years

You can Sponsor your Spouse, partner or dependent children
You can Sponsor your Parents and Grandparents
You can Sponsor your relatives if they meet the eligibility criteria
You can sponsor your adopted child

How long does it take?

It takes approx 12 month to process from start to finish. It may take more time to process your application if you have a complicated case or your file need additional verification.

Its better to fulfill all the desired needs correctly in the first go, if you want your application to be processed as quickly as possible.

How much does it cost to apply?

In Canada if you want to sponsor your spouse or partner the government processing fees including everything varies from $1200-$1500 CAD.
